Is The Pregnancy Going For Your Life - 859 Words

I never thought I would hear the news so early in my life. On October 2, 2014 I found out that I was going to be an aunt. My brother called me on the Thursday and told me the news. His words kept ringing in my head, â€Å"you are going to be an aunt†. I could not believe what I was hearing my brother Jarin is going to be a daddy. As soon as the words sunk in I began to fill with excitement. So many questions that were running through my head; is it going to be a boy or a girl? What is the baby’s name going to end up being? Is it going to be healthy? Is the pregnancy going to go as planned? After waiting an agonizing month on November 11, 2014 Alexis went for a 3D ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby. My older sister Brenica and younger sister Keaira and I were all wanting a baby girl, my mother just wanting a healthy baby, not caring about its gender, and Jarin and Alexis wanting a baby boy. All of us waiting anxiously, the ultrasound technician said, â€Å"oh it is very clear, it is a boy!† As my brother and Alexis were excited that it was a boy and I hoping for the baby to be a girl I was still excited that I was going to have a nephew. Names, so many names. Jarin and Alexis wanted a unique name for their son. The first name that came to mind that my mother thought of was Brantley but Alexis did not think that was unique enough, so we put back on our thinking caps until Alexis brought up Brentley but Jarin on the other hand did not care for that name.
